Horticultural Expo 2019

The Beijing Expo 2019 is an A1 world horticultural exposition which has been approved by the International Association of Horticultural Producers and the Bureau International des Expositions, held by the Chinese government and sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Government. We provide the logo and visual identity system for the event.

Picglaze Sample Book

Picglaze prints photos, but finishes them with something out of the ordinary. They print on versatile and different materials, with the rigidity of the formats as a main element. The challenge of the design for Estudio Maba was to make the most of these qualities relevant on the result. Since the materials are rigid they can be sustained and form a composition. As such a sculpture with different colors and thicknesses. A product sample book that becomes a piece itself. A decorative object, further than a catalogue, this piece is volumetric design nice to see, touch and feel.

Rare Proportions

Inspired by Brazilian nature, these posters explore the possibilities of the Golden Ratio when applied to graphic design, thus representing the diversity of fauna and flora in Brazil through symbols and illustrations. The different techniques used here are based on Phi calculations (1.618) for the creation of guides, hierarchy and elements that make up the pieces.

Ten

The design is a campaign for Kingston University's Fashion show event. The photography for this campaign is done by creating 'X' marks by on a model's body which indicates the symbolism of clothes on one's body. 'X' also indicates the tenth anniversary of the fashion school of Kingston university. E-vite was sent to all the guests and posters and brochures were displayed in the Design Museum of London.

Cells

On July 19, 2017, PIY built a small building in Melbourne, Australia. It is a small castle assembled of 761 components, and they named it "Cells". The nodes are designed as the hand-turned thread tenon and straight tenon, which is summarized as "East Tenon & West Mortise". You will find their products, including variable shelves, study and shoe racks, etc., all of which are broken up and reassembled into an organism. And then, you will feel their desire to grow freely.
