ODTU Sanat 20

For the 20th year of ODTU Sanat, an annually held art festival by Middle East Technical University, the request was to build a visual language to highlight the consequent 20 years of the festival. As requested, the 20th year of the festival was emphasized by approaching it like a covered art piece to be unveiled. Shadows of the same colored layers that form the numbers 2, and 0 created a 3D illusion. This illusion gives the feeling of relief and the numbers look like they melted into the background. The vivid color choice creates a subtle contrast with the tranquility of the wavy 20.

FIL

FIL is a fashion design collection of brand space, selling a variety of interesting and design items. FIL means "line" in French. It is materialized, emotionless, and inclusive. It can be the most basic component of thousands of aesthetics, but it does not exist independently. When designing the brand image logo for it, designers run through the "line" in the middle of the three fonts. It allows the concept of the brand to be presented realistically and at any time through varying lengths.

Photoptosis

Photoptosis explores the medium of light as a material in itself, that can grow the same way as plants do. The sculpture consists of a triangulated stainless steel surface in a branching geometry. Onto this structural tree, side-glowing fiber optics cables have grown like the veins of Ivy. The growth of both the metal surface as well as the lighting were developed via computational simulations of the natural processes.

One World

It is a series of poster design and creative cultural product design. This design will continue to expand into the creative and living. Printed and posted way, called on people to protect the environment. It is inspired by the gradual deterioration of the earth's environment and the destruction of homes. People live in the same world and share the same dream. It combine the continents of the world with the ocean, the land, the sky. It symbolizes the good wishes of world peace.

We were born in China

His designs are about Chinese wildlife, pandas, snow leopards and golden monkeys. They have deep Chinese symbols, precious and unique, living in China. He took it as the theme of his creation, blending into the traditional Chinese shadow puppet show. He combines these three animals with the landscape of China, and integrates the charm of Chinese landscape painting into the painting to form a unique visual expression. It feels like an animal walking on a mountain, merging with nature. He communicates that people should try to protect these beautiful species.

CityWays

CityWays is a research to reveal human's recreational patterns through visualizing datasets from self-tracking applications, quantifying the effects of temperature, precipitation, and other environmental factors. Through finding factors that affect pedestrian activities, we also found implications on street design and zoning policies, possibly leading to a re-definition of well-known static metrics of walkability.
