Mohanii Brand Identity

Mohanii

Mohanii is a brand identity created for a fashion label rooted in oriental culture. The logo is based on Latin letters, which give the brand a simple and international tone. The letter M is the core symbol and refers to ink, linking the mark to Chinese calligraphy. Serif forms and contour lines are combined and reinterpreted. The letters M and H are emphasized, while the other letters are reduced, so that visual layers are formed. The symbol can be repeated, broken apart and recomposed, and it can be applied to any medium.

Parametric Generation Building

Parametric Generation

Parametric Generation is a residential town design created with the parametric tool Grasshopper. Buildings in the traditional style of eastern Sichuan are generated from a small set of parameters, such as length, width, height, eave size and roof slope. The individual buildings can be combined freely, and the complex covers about 100,000 square meters. Designers can add details to the generated models, and any revision is made by entering new parameters. The method keeps one architectural style across a whole town and shortens the design process.

Hangul, the Korean writing system, serves as the symbol itself, and the letterforms are combined with musical notation drawn from the six pillars of the building. Custom typefaces, stage staff clothing and a printed book extend the identity beyond the logo. The design joins old and recent forms in one system.

Master Ji Gong Movie Poster

Master Ji Gong

Master Ji Gong is a trailer poster for a Chinese animated fantasy adventure film of the same name. The poster measures 750 by 1050 millimetres. Chinese ink and traditional Chinese elements are used to create a poetic and mysterious eastern atmosphere. The dragon and the monk, shown with a red kasaya, a patchwork outer vestment and a palm-leaf fan, are figures from the film and were rendered with three-dimensional software. The ink was made with water and tested on rice paper, hard paper and cloth to compare textures. All parts were then combined digitally.
